FAQ

Straight answers

What happens to my code if you shut down or start charging?

Dynamic codes depend on this service resolving the short link, so that is a fair thing to ask. Relink is free with no trial and no paid tier to upgrade into — the pricing table above is the whole model. If you need something that survives independently of any company, a static code encodes the destination directly and works forever without us.

Do I have to reprint when the link changes?

No. That is the entire point. The QR encodes a short link on our domain, and you change where that link forwards. Anything already printed keeps working and starts pointing at the new destination immediately.

Why do I need an account?

Because a dynamic code has to stay editable, and we need to know it is yours before letting anyone repoint it. Sign-in is a single emailed magic link — no password to make, no card, nothing to cancel.

Is there a scan limit or an expiry date?

No limit and no expiry. Codes do not deactivate after a trial, and scans are not capped or metered.

What do scanners see before they get redirected?

An interstitial page showing the destination domain and the full URL, with a Continue button. We never hide where a code sends people — that is what keeps the service from becoming a phishing tool.

How big should I print it?

As a rule of thumb, print at least one tenth of the scanning distance: about 1.2in / 3cm for a code read at arm's length, larger for posters read across a room. Keep good contrast between the code and its background, and leave the quiet zone around the edges clear.
